Details:
The sports producer/reporter/anchor will help deliver more than just scores and highlights. Queen City News produces a NIGHTLY 30 minute sports show Charlotte Sports Live (CSL). The CSL team is looking for a five tool player who can produce a daily show (conceptualize, stack, write, booth), turn stories for TV and digital and anchor when needed. Requirements:
- Must possess the ability to establish a network of contacts and work them to find and report sports stories
- The best candidate must be a self-starter with a great attitude and a desire to compete and to improve as a journalist
- Queen City News is part of the “newsroom of the future” movement. You will be working with 21st century newsgathering technology, operating as a self-contained and mobile content generator
- Excellent communication, writing and grammar skills are required for both the broadcast and digital platforms.
- Comply with all Station and Department policies, procedures and guidelines related activities
- Must be willing to work weekends
- Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds, ability to walk with equipment up and down stairs and over rough terrain to complete essential job functions
