South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state’s public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences and strengthens communities, while working to create a stronger, more connected and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings.

JOB PURPOSE: The Digital Fundraising and Data Manager will be primarily tasked with planning, creating, executing and evaluating online fundraising activities in support of and in addition to pledge events. This position will create innovative and informative digital marketing campaigns with guidance from the Director of Fundraising to increase broadcast/content awareness and donor revenue, including outreach via social media, websites, newsletters and in-person/virtual events. Successful campaigns will target multiple audiences including listeners, viewers, parents, donors and potential donors. This position will also assist with coordination with the ETV Endowment to ensure that donor files are shared between agencies with timeliness and accuracy and will assist in managing the donor database and post-campaign reporting as requested by the Director of Fundraising.

Position responsibilities also include sourcing, developing and maintaining thank you gift lists, and coordinating with the Director of Fundraising and the ETV Endowment on gift and ticket tracking. This includes uploading or relaying gift information to the call center service, TRAC and other relevant parties in a timely manner. The position will also post Fundraising campaign schedules to agency calendars and serves as a backup volunteer/food coordinator as necessary. In addition, this position will answer donor calls, following up with responses in a timely manner, and assist the Director of Fundraising on other projects as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:
Coordinating with the Director of Fundraising, research and maintain all thank you gift and ticket lists relative to television and radio membership campaigns. Responsible for proofreading thank you gift list before sending to the ETV Endowment two weeks prior to campaigns. Once list is final, gift list is sent or uploaded to all parties (TRAC and ACD/Direct/CWW and departmental personnel) at least five days prior to the start of pledge drives.

Segment databases and lists, utilize best practices and analyze “open” and “click through” rates to track effectiveness of email campaigns. Evaluate social media and website campaign effectiveness and provide analysis to strengthen future campaigns. Research trends and other station ideas for development locally.

Serve as the e-newsletter coordinator, sending out a regular, weekly schedule of SCETV and SC Public Radio e-news bulletins to targeted audiences – listeners, viewers and prospective donors using the Constant Contact web-based application or similar. Compile content according to target groups using existing resources such as the SCENE Guide, information from the SCETV Programming Department and SC Public Radio program updates, PBS, NPR and others.

Coordinating with the Director of Fundraising, design/build images and graphic elements for local television and radio fundraising campaigns and department initiatives. Assist in the creation and execution of organic and paid digital ads, to include social media, search engine optimization and website banner ads.

Help staff and plan special events as needed including donor meet and greets, screenings, SCETV and Public Radio internal and external events, etc., serving as an ambassador for the agency. This includes assisting with special events related to experience-based gifts and coordinating with the ETV Endowment as necessary.

Coordinate ticket offer redemption with donors and other key stakeholders such as internal staff, venues and show promoters. Provide courteous customer service and timely responses to member and customer inquiries. Seek training opportunities to stay abreast of industry best practices. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant experience; or, a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a similar field.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, or Media Arts, and two (2) years of relevant promotion experience. Data analysis and reporting ability preferred. Experience with web-based email marketing applications preferred.

Demonstrated ability to manage digital and online-only Campaigns. Proficiency in e-mail content programs like MailChimp and Constant Contact. Ability to create digital marketing materials and coordinate omni-channel engagement opportunities to complement broadcast and traditional fundraising models.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
