Job Summary/Description:
Live 5 News is looking for a Digital Content Producer. We are looking for a journalist who is passionate about sharing content online and on social media. We need someone who is a great writer and has solid news judgment.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
– Writing, editing & attaching video to news stories on Live5News.com– Monitoring news sources to develop news content– Promoting content on social media through engaging posts– Managing station social media– Shooting stories in the field for use on air and on our digital platforms– Ability to fill in on other shifts as needed, including early mornings, nights, weekends & holidays
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Must be a strong writer and copy editor with excellent editorial judgment, time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize quickly– Must have basic working knowledge of web design and maintenance– Experience with writing in AP style is preferred– Knowledge of entry-level videography and video editing software a plus– Candidate must have a valid driving license and clean driving record
