Requirements: Responsibilities will include: • Generate revenue for the station and meet monthly goals through effective outside sales techniques • Develop new business through selling commercial advertising time and other station products by reaching out to local businesses and other advertisers • Create and present advertising strategies and ideas for local businesses incorporating TV, online and digital mediums • Provide input on sales promotion ideas to sales management • Retain current business and develop new business contacts • Attain budgeted revenue goals through effective solicitations, promotions and service • Understand the business objectives and advertising strategies of clients and find ways to help them achieve their objectives through effective advertising Qualifications: • Strong organizational, written, and presentation skills • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships • Competitive, persuasive, energetic, and self-motivated traits • Ability to overcome objections • Working knowledge of new media, digital interactive initiatives and social media required • Outside media sales experience preferred, but not required • Enjoy a fast paced environment with a desire to win • Professional appearance a must Our Marketing Consultants are some of the highest commissioned sales people in the industry. Requirements: As a Digital Sales Coordinator, you must have a serious eye for detail and be a very organized individual. Must be skilled with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Duties also include utilizing Wide Orbit, Wide Orbit Sales, Matrix, MediaLine, Outlook, multi-line phone system. Great attention to detail is essential. Strong analytic ability and the ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Solid understanding of digital marketing basics is fundamental to success in this role. Description: Edward R Murrow Award Winning Broadcaster WJZY/WMYT the FOX O&O serving the Charlotte, NC region is seeking a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer to manage the technical operations of the station in compliance with FCC, OSHA, and Corporate Engineering Standards and practices that meet SMPTE/IEEE and ATSC and other applicable specifications. The ideal candidate will install new technologies and provide necessary operator training to match department workflow. As needed, this position supports repairs and maintenance of the facility. Ideal candidate must possess an in depth knowledge of broadcast technical operations including IP based equipment. Extensive knowledge and experience with hardware, software, and multiple OS of servers and PC’s is required. Ability to work with any manufacturer on applications. Basic understanding of networking devices on multiple LANs and connecting to WANS is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills a must. Ability to implement written procedures and directives. An understanding of multiple formats of video and transport streams and a current working knowledge of IT and broadcast equipment is a must. Ideal candidate must have a clear working knowledge of multiple digital media formats and basics of transcoding with the ability to maintain satellite operations. Maintain confidentiality regarding company information. Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of a minimum of 3 years working in a TV broadcast news environment. Must have a valid NC/SC driver’s license. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, reach above one’s head and climb ladders. ITX, OSHA electrical lockout/tag out training, SBE certification, Network IT training, FCC general class license and FCC general class license a plus. News Schedules: It is an essential part of all newsroom employees to be willing to adjust hours to meet the fluctuating demands of a news team in a competitive market. If special events fall on the employee’s day off he/she may be required to participate, if requested. Varied hours may also be required based on the needs of the department. From time to time may be required to produce newscasts to help cover sick/vacation time of others. As part of the news team, holidays that fall Monday through Friday will be worked, time-off requests are approved by management. No vacations will be approved one week prior and during television-rating periods.
